FC Porto was out to prove that they are not afraid of Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich. The underdog team scored two quick goals from Ricardo Quaresma before the 10th minute of play to demoralize FC Bayern and once they had the commanding lead they did not let off the gas, finishing the first leg with a third goal from Jackson Martinez and a decisive 3-1 victory. Bayern was playing without star players Schweinsteiger, Robben and Ribery, but the world class talent of their roster proves to be no excuse for the loss against Porto.
