Alphonso Davies: The youngest Bundesliga scorer in 2018/19

A new star has been born – Alphonso Davies has laid down a marker with his first Bundesliga goal for Bayern München. Having only turned 18 in November, the Canadian teenager’s strike against Mainz makes him the youngest player to find the back of the net in the Bundesliga this season. Did you know that Davies is also the youngest Bayern player to score in the Bundesliga for 20 years? The record is held by Roque Santa Cruz, who became the Munich club’s youngest ever Bundesliga goalscorer in August 1999 at the age of 18 years and 12 days.
